How it all started
THE WAGNER WAY
Wagner Paving Inc. was founded in 1970 by Tom Wagner with a simple philosophy: treat every customer’s project as if you were doing it for yourself. With just six employees, an asphalt spreader box, one roller, two dump trucks, and a backhoe, Tom built the business on the values of honesty, integrity and hard work. Still proudly family-owned and operated, Wagner Paving is now led by Tom’s daughter, Cheri, continuing the legacy of excellence and dedication her father began.
Over the decades, our commitment to quality and service has built more than great projects—it’s built a team that lasts. Many of our employees have been with us for over 25 years, a reflection of the trust, respect, and sense of pride that define our culture.
As Wagner Paving begins to welcome the third generation, what began as a small family business has become a multi-generational legacy, built to last.
We are fully ODOT approved and built to handle large, complex projects with precision and care. By keeping all work in-house—without relying on subcontractors—we maintain full control over quality, timelines and outcomes. Our dedicated fleet maintenance shop ensures every piece of equipment is well-maintained and ready to perform, minimizing downtime and maximizing efficiency. When you partner with Wagner, you’re working directly with the team that plans it, completes it and stands behind it, every step of the way.
